Synopsis
With its armies sweeping across the continent, the Empire seems unstoppable. After securing victory over the remnants of the Republic's army, the Empire's ultimate victory is finally within reach. However, dark clouds are gathering in the East. The communist-led Russy Federation is mustering troops on its western border, preparing to enter the war. Supported by a detachment of Allied volunteer magicians—among whom is Mary Sioux, the daughter of a soldier killed by Tanya—the Federation is determined to spread the communist creed and bring the Empire to its knees.
Meanwhile, Tanya and her battalion return to the imperial capital from the southern front. Upon their arrival, they are tasked with investigating troop movements on the border with the Federation. Any escalation of violence at this point may lead to new conflicts, plunging the world into a global war.
Will the Empire eventually emerge victorious from its struggle, or will it crumble in the face radically different ideologies?

In der 12 Episode wird im abschließenden Gespräch von Oberstleutnant Erich von Rerugen und Major Tanya Degretschow nochmal ein Fazit gezogen:
"Soll das heißen das wir Menschen im Grunde noch immer Tiere sind denen es an Logik und Verstand mangelt?"
"Egal wie fortschrittlich wir uns wähnen und ganz egal wie sehr wir auf soziale Normen achten, die Menschen sind törichte Kreaturen, die ihren unkontrollierbaren Emotionen der Logik gegenüber oft den Vorzug geben.

Apología nazi the movie
Como nota, es fascinante como la película es tan try hard edgy que sin pretenderlo crea casi una imagen parodica de si misma por la simple estupidez de todo lo que le rodea.
Dando la idea completamente opuesta de lo que se nota es lo que busca realmente (Poner a nazis como gente cool), ya que deja la imagen más ridícula y horrible sin quererlo.
No le quita lo cuestionable porque sigue siendo apología, pero es fascinante ver como se da vuelta por si sola.(La nota es porque a pesar de todo me es terriblemente entretenida a pesar de lo cuestionable que es en literalmente todo sentido ademas la animación como dirección me parecen increíbles)

Erstes Filmerlebnis mit Major Tanya von Degurechaff und ihre "Gegnerin" Mary Sioux, die Rache für ihren von Tanya getöteten Vater nehmen will....
Und ich habe überhaupt kein Vorwissen von dieser Figuren , deswegen werde ich mir eventuell die 12 teilige Serie auf Crunchyrool anschauen, die wohl die Vorgeschichte von Tanya erklärt.
2 sehr junge Mädchen existieren um 1926 in einem Krieg, der wohl den 1.WK sein soll und erleben eine ziemlich grausame Welt der Menschen, die scheinbar ihren Sinn im Töten "gefunden" haben, zumindest machen alle durch Befehle gebunden irgendwie mit und Tanya hasst den Krieg abgrundtief hat aber eine Macht und Perfektion im Töten erlangt, die seinesgleichen sucht....

In a sea of countless anime about teens getting trapped in video games or characters dying to find themselves in a fantasy world, I always found Saga of Tanya the Evil to be refreshing. The isekai genre, as it were, is a genre that all too easily falls victim to being colonialist and/or imperialist. Even though I generally hate the genre I'm fine with giving that aspect of it the benefit of the doubt; most of the time it likely exists as a byproduct of the exact ways many of those shows portray their specific brand of power fantasy. Kind of forgettable. Definitely a waste of the movie format.
The animation was solid. Certainly feature quality, but nothing exceptional.
The plot was... kind of barely there. They basically go fight a single largish battle. Then it ends. No real arc, no development of either story or characters. They just get shuttled around through a couple of smaller fights and then one big one. It doesn't even feel like a full campaign and simply fizzles out at the end with no real resolution or future stakes.
Even the part with Mary Sue was flat. She hates Tanya. They fight a bit. Bland final fight. Then an ending that ensures nothing changes.
This wasn't a film. It was a couple of episodes mashed together. Not even climatic episodes, but decent mid-season ones that simply keep events moving on.
